One of the most powerful tools for building
self-confidence is visualization and FEELING your
future.
This easy and POWERFUL technique involves imagining
and FEELING the accomplishment of the changes or
goals you're now going to achieve.
It is a process of "training" within
the mind.
You have to see it and feel
it before you can create it.
By visualizing in detail your successful
execution of each step in a given activity, you
create, modify, or strengthen brain pathways that
are important in coordinating your muscles for the
visualized activity.
This prepares you to perform the activity itself.
The technique is useful in many areas of life—from
avoiding anxiety during a stressful situation, to
performing well during competition.
You will find it a powerful tool in strength
training.
1. Identify the goal you want to achieve and
visualize—for example, fitting into a pair of
pants
that "shrank".
2. Find a comfortable place to sit and
relax.
3. Eliminate all distractions—turn off the phone,
television, tie-up-the-kids, (joking)etc.
4. Close your eyes and focus on feeling
relaxed. Free your mind of intruding thoughts.
5. Take 10 DEEP belly breaths. Inhale for
a 10 count. Exhale for 12.
6. Now, imagine yourself in your ideal body. FEEL
how easily and effortlessly you move in this new
body.
7. Feel it and see it as if it has already
happened.
Create a picture in your mind of the place—the
sights, sounds, and smells. Imagine it is a perfect
day.
You are in your perfect body.
8. Picture yourself with your friends, talking and
laughing.Then see yourself doing what needs to
be done, what you GET to do, and make it
happen.
9. Take another 30 seconds to fully engulf
yourself
with the new vibration you feel. The pleasure
and excitement of
achieving this goal is yours now.
10. Then imagine yourself enjoying the
sunshine, the fresh air and your great
life.
11. Finally, take that feeling with you & do
whatever it takes today because it is ALL worth it.
This simple exercise has been proven by
science.
It works
And it will work for you when you DO IT.
So just do it and. . .
