I was chatting with a client from Brea today and in between exercises and she was telling me how she was doing some in home fitness training with her 3 year old grandson.
She was going through the workout and the little guy just jumped up and started working out with her.
Isn’t that great?
You know that obesity is at an all time high, right? You know that it isn’t getting any better.
Well, what if we all just started to move a little bit more? What if instead of coming home and plopping in front of the “boob tube” we went outside for a walk? What would that little extra bit of movement mean for you and your family?
Not much you say?
Oh contraire, mon-fraire, little bits of activity add up over time. And you know that if you just do a little bit better than you did in the past, that is progress. Rome wasn’t built in a day, right?
Another thing, too; have you heard of Zig Ziglar? Well, this guy says that the way he wrote his first book is by just writing a page a day, on average.
After a year he had a 350 page bestselling book. You know what else; he wanted to lose some weight too, about 25 pounds.
Know how he did it? He just focused on losing 1.5 ounces of fat per day.
The weight was gone in 7 months. You could do that, right? 1.5 ounces? When you break things down like that, it all just gets simple. So, back to that 3 year old kid, Liz’ grandson. Imagine what he will become if he continues to workout for the rest of his life.
What kind of person will he become? Is’nt that awe inspiring?
What can you do today to take responsibility for your condition? Do it today. Take responsibility for everything in your life.
You are not a slave to anything, anyone, the past, the future, your kids, or your parents.
Just because you couldn’t kick a ball in the 1st grade or momma liked brother more or you have bad genetics or you don’t have enough time; Get real.
Take responsibility for your self and your health. You created your self.
What you see is what you made. Period. So be like that little kid.
Just get up and do it.
Whatever it is.
