When you are contemplating the goals you will go after and
achieve, you utilize
something known as the cybernetic function of your
mind.
What exactly is the cybernetic function?
Well, when you clearly articulate a want with a
crystal clear
vision and with tremendous feeling, you simultaneously
begin to move toward and become that which you have
visualized and FELT within the core of your body.
For example, I know you must have experienced some event
in your life that you were totally committed to achieving.
When you were taking a challenging course in school, didn’t
you have a clear vision of the end result you wanted?
Did’nt you think from the end?
Did’nt you think of how great it would be once you acquired
the new knowledge. . . or simply passed the class?
It works the same with every aspect of your life.
When you. . .
clearly visualize and feel the end
result. . .
. . .you are going after, and work
backward from the end, you will get that goal.
Sure you may stumble and fall but that is part of the
process.
Nobody ever decides to achieve a goal and moves toward it
in a straight line
Do you think the actors and actresses on CSI or
Desperate
Housewives just woke up and decided to become actors
and
the very next day were cast in their leading roles?
Of course not, they took acting classes, took on bit roles in
plays, and practiced without pay for many years with no
guarantee of success – other than the vision that they held in
their mind.
They were rejected countless times by agents and casting
directors but they keep going with the vision and feeling
holding their focus.
It works the same for you and me too
When we want to achieve anything fitness
related, any physical goal, we must first get a clear picture
of what we want. . .
Then we recall a time in life when we felt awesome, blissed
out from achieving a goal, when we were totally in control. .
.
Then we replace the image from the past success with the
new image of what we want to achieve.
That is how you use the cybernetic function of your mind to
get what you want.
So, continue to realize that you will never move in a straight
line to your goals.
You will zig and zag, make
corrections, press on, and ultimately reach your fitness and
life goals.
Keep pushing. Keep going for your goals.
You are either
growing stronger or weaker. There is no maintenance.
Keep moving toward a fitness goal.
Make it very
specific.
Make it measurable.
