How to Hit the Bulls Eye Everytime
I was out and about for a run yesterday. It was about 100 degrees, or so it felt. And you know what?
It was awesome!
Why can I say that running in 100-degree temperatures is fun and AWESOME? Well, I run with a purpose. When I go out to train
– I’m doing it with a mission in my mind.
Whenever I go out I first make a commitment to myself. I write down what I want to happen BEFORE I go. I have spiral notebook
that I use to track all of my thoughts and ideas and plans. This helps me keep my goals in order and get the things that are
important to me finished.
So how does this relate to you? Well, if you just write down what it is that you want to achieve for the day you will have
focus and direction. If you just show up and see what happens – well who knows what you’ll get.
I have funny story for you...
There was a famous archer named Howard Hill. He could take a bow and arrow and from 50 feet draw the
arrow and hit the bull’s-eye 99% of the time. Some say he was the greatest ever.
What if I told you I could teach you to hit the bull’s-eye more consistently and more often than Howard Hill –
by teaching you how to shoot for just 20 minutes?
Well, I could. And you could. How?
Well, we’d just have to blindfold Howard Hill so that he couldn’t see his target. If we did that – he wouldn’t
be able to see his target and you would be able to out shoot him.
Now, you’re saying, “well of course I could out shoot a man that couldn’t see his target!” But that
is my point.
How can you hit a target that YOU don’t have clearly in sight and in focus?
Do you have one?
I suggest that you get your goals on paper. Write them out specifically. This puts your mind in motion. It sets you up for
success. Your mind has millions of thoughts a day. How many of them do you write down? Well, by writing your goal down on
paper specifically this sets that thought apart from the rest.
It lets your subconscious and conscious mind know that THIS is THE goal.
Try it if you don’t already to it. If you have a fat loss goal, write it down. Get a clear image of what you want to
be and continue to become it – NOW!
